Class Valentine's

I just wanted to share with everyone what my daughter and I made for her class this year for Valentine's.  I was hoping to get these done sooner and posted, but it seems like life always gets in the way!!

My daughter's fourth grade class wasn't going to have a Valentine's party this year, because of so many budget cut days, that I still wanted the kids to have something to decorate their desk with, yet have a goody too.

So, my daughter and I decided to make some tootsie pop flowers.  They really were very easy to do and didn't take much time.  I probably spent more time priming and painting the pots, then making all of the flowers.  The flowers were cut out using the Cricut, along with the George cartridge.  I cut both of the flowers out at 3" and the hearts for the tags (leaves) were cut out at 2".

Here they are all packed up and ready to go yesterday morning.  The kids loved them!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

What a great idea. They are so cute and I bet those kids loved them. I don't know what state you live in, but here in California I can relate to the budget cuts in schools. It is sad that the kids have to suffer because the politicians cannot be responsible in their spending.
